Until now, I wasn't afraid of AI and all that stuff. AI itself is stupid. However, Clawbot shows us what's actually in store for us. Maybe it's silly nonsense at the moment, maybe. The question will be: Who controls this technology? You don't have to be an expert to see who's driving this forward right now. The nihilists have nothing to lose, the others do.
The mere fact that there is a social network where only AI bots converse is... um... futuristic. What one bot can't do, it learns from the next. That's kind of scary.

Addressing Mark Zuckerberg and Meta’s policy team regarding a disturbing pattern: sudden, apparently automated account blocks affecting independent public voices connected to Russia.
Facebook is locking out Russia-based users - often abruptly, with little explanation. This looks like a false-positive automation problem, and it can be fixed.
Here is the technical irony. Facebook has been blocked in Russia since 2022, Meta has been designated an “extremist organization” by Russian authorities, so users must rely on VPNs and frequent IP/location changes simply to access the platform. That necessary “survival behavior” may be misread by security systems as inauthentic or bot-like activity - and real people lose years of contacts, archives, and professional ties.
Facebook remains one of the few bridges between an increasingly closed society and the outside world. Meta should not be unintentionally dismantling the last vestiges of connectivity and aiding authoritarian censorship through automated enforcement.
The solution exists: clearer rules, human-reviewed appeals, and privacy-safe verification.

@andikoe @bastian_S ich hatte dort eigene #Pflegendeangehorige Gruppen, war in einigen anderen Admin (eine mit über 30.000 Mitgliedern), sowie meine #Autorengruppe und #Illustratorengruppe, die schon seit 2014. Also doch, ich hatte täglichen Austausch und man hat sich unterstützt. Es ist erschreckend, wenn auf einmal alles auf 0 gesetzt wird, und auch ernüchternd. Denn dort geht es ja weiter, wenngleich einige Gruppen dort keinen Admin mehr haben. Tja. #facebook und deren Macht...
