Opting into the #Drupal entity reference filters on views exposed forms really is the gift that keeps on giving.
Just when I thought I'd finally reconfigured all those, across many, many views, we've ended up with more than 100 entities to possibly reference so now need to switch the selects to autocompletes everywhere.
