#podman is not a drop-in replacement for #docker because it regularly fails to keep pace with changes. The average compose YAML for popular projects has syntax podman-compose doesn't support. #redhat and contributors keep podman limping along but it's about time I move to systemd (or k8s) spec exclusively and stop fooling around with podman or compose. I haven't been able to start #Nextcloud with #Collabora for months because of some random length limit issue related to seccomp.

The weekend #homelab project is complete!

I bought a couple RTX A400s and installed them in my two Dell R620s. They fit perfectly and only need power from the PCIe slot.

From there, I was able to make the GPUs available to #Proxmox, the VM, #Docker, and ultimately, #Plex.

They're definitely not high-end cards, but I can't imagine needing more power for video transcoding. The nice part is that they're new enough to support decoding newer codecs like #AV1.

So ya, I'm a happy homelabber!
