I'm assuming it is because #docker enables forwarding, which in turn stops the kernel from accepting route advertisements.

```
accept_ra - INTEGER
Accept Router Advertisements; autoconfigure using them.
It also determines whether or not to transmit Router
Solicitations. If and only if the functional setting is to
accept Router Advertisements, Router Solicitations will be
transmitted.
Possible values are:
0 Do not accept Router Advertisements.
1 Accept Router Advertisements if forwarding is disabled.
2 Overrule forwarding behaviour. Accept Router Advertisements
even if forwarding is enabled.
Functional default: enabled if local forwarding is disabled.
disabled if local forwarding is enabled.
```

kernel.org/doc/Documentation/n

Setting this to 2 via sysctl gets overwritten too by docker. #grmble

Here's a little story of how I turned a 5 line Docker file into a 1.5TB giant ass Time Machine sparse file backup nightmare that was only going to get worse at 1.5TB at a time *PER* container!... Thanks modern computing, you totally rock! 🤣 #containers #apple #ext4 #sparsefiles #storage #docker

Ok, so when starting #docker with #ipv6 enabled, it removes the default route.

Why the actual flying furry fuck.
