Wow, rootless podman + selinux + cifs share is a terrible combination. Going back to docker in my homelab for now while I learn more about this.

I am too used to docker on debian, moving to podman on rocky proved to be a huge challenge.

I will start podman on debian, and then move on to rocky as I learn more about it.

On a positive note, my IAC on Ansible has been a life saver, definitely like that one!

Da die Tochter noch immer kränkelt und zu wenig Lust und Energie hat, habe ich am Wochenende etwas Zeit gefunden die Festplatte am PC aufzuräumen. Nun läuft die Datensicherung vor sich hin.
Nun bin ich endlich soweit, dass das nächste Thema angegangen werden kann: #Bilderverwaltung Werd mich da mal an #Immich ranwagen. Das heißt auch, sich mit #docker zu beschäftigen, wo ich bisher noch keine Ahnung von hab.

Now that #macOSTahoe has been out for a while (I'm mostly fine with it), have people played with https://github.com/apple/container? It has 21k stars and has apparently seen steady development, yet nobody seems to be talking about it.

Is it… viable as a replacement for #Docker or #Orbstack? Has someone made a simple Mac GUI app to manage containers with it? (Or maybe I can use Orbstack for that?)

How about performance?

I upgraded three servers to #Debian Trixie yesterday. As usual, it went smoothly. However, one #Docker container running Nagios showed significant performance issues after the upgrade, with the CPU stuck at 100%. Pulling the latest version of that Docker image did not help either.
