Примерно с такой же аргументацией люди подходят к вопросу использования #Podman'а вместо #Docker'а :)
Особенно, когда упираются в вопрос того, что в Podman'е всё заточено или скорее ориентировано изначально на #rootless -контейнера. Оно людям после Docker'а бывает крайне непривычно и раздражение списывается на всякий негатив и предвзятость к #RedHat.
Всё правильно сделали с #flatpak'ом:
• есть подсистема контейнеров
• есть команда-оператор действия
• есть идентификатор контейнера-приложения.
Всё чётко и однозначно, а для пользователя это всегда можно обернуть ярлыками, скриптами и т.п.
В графических средах и окружениях пользователей, типа KDE спокойно всё flatpak'овское ищется и ставится через какой-нибудь GUI типа Discover. Создавая для пользователя автоматом ярлыки\shortcut'ы в разных местах сразу.

Ugggh why do so many useful services start with "Okay so setup docker" first? These things do NOT need to be containers! There are services that benefit from being containerized, but things like Authentik and Immich gain pretty much nothing! Docker as an option is fine, but making it the only install method is so backwards!
