I tried out an alternative to #Docker Desktop on mac OS 26 from #Apple today. It's basically usable. The good things are that it uses significantly less memory, doesn't require port forwarding, and allows you to access containers from the host using their names if you configure the embedded DNS service with two commands: https://github.com/apple/container/blob/main/docs/tutorial.md#set-up-a-local-dns-domain-optional

Throwing this up here as I'm trying to figure out if there is a parh forward...
I'm running a headless Mac mini M1 that I tried to utilize with #Docker Desktop v4.48.0 to run #Frigate NVR. I've got the new option (for Mac) "Enable host networking" enabled and my docker-compose.yml has "network_mode: host". Everything seems to work with the exception of trying to send video to #Homekit for my go2rtc camera definitions. I can take the exact same config and run it under Debian on an old x86 machine and it all works. However, that machine is woefully underpowered and I'd rather try to make the Mac work for the time being.
Is this just something the relatively newish Mac host networking mode can't do?
Is there some other config needed to get this working?
Just curious if anyone has hit this issue and gotten past it?

Okay, #MinIO dropped official #Docker image support, last released image version has CVE (which is now only fixed in the source, they are not even providing binary builds any longer).
