Nachdem ich hier auf meine Anfrage einige Antworten bekam mit Erklärungen und Links habe ich zusätzlich mit diesen Antworten als Einstiegspunkt noch ein wenig recherchiert.
Ergebnis: Bei mir auf dem Desktop läuft jetzt im #Firefox das #Snowflake AddOn. Ich war erstaunt, dass es schon nach 2 Minuten zum ersten Mal grün geworden ist. Wow, das ging ja schnell.
Das Energiemanagement des Rechners habe ich so eingestellt, dass er nicht mehr selbstätig in den Standby Modus wechselt. Den Browser lasse ich offen. Somit läuft das hier erstmal so weiter.
Ich werde jetzt mal ein wenig suchen, ob ich einen #Docker Container finde für Snowflake. Wenn ja, dann werde ich es in meinen 24/7 laufenden #RaspberryPi in den dort laufenden Docker rein nehmen.

Ich habe das für mich im NAS Kontext so gelöst, dass die Ordner mit Bildern die bisherige Ablage auf dem NAS geblieben sind. Auf dem NAS läuft #immich in #docker und mounted die bestehenden Ordner als read-only Volumes. Was man dafür in #immich tun muss, findest du auch in der Doku, das ist simpel.

Thanks to have gitlab on #docker, I just have to pull a 1.7GB image over the network and install this in a process, that takes over 15 minutes with always a question mark if it will complete the right way.
Much better that doing just a #composer update or a #git pull ... much, much better.
I am glad, that the world had switched to such reliable infrastrucure system.

Do some community already started to make a #docker / #podman #registry, that run outside of US (with #FOSS tool ?)
i already use @forgejo docker image from @Codeberg website but majority of tool like @nextcloud, @jellyfin #immich @vaultwarden_releases do not propose those OUT of US registry
i ask to try to help, as i decouple all my workflow from ANY us service even minor.

#Selfhosting: part 2
I was already using #SearXNG and Open WebUI via #Docker, and they were perfectly reachable through #Tailscale and MagicDNS — everywhere except my dorm's network.
It took several days of my free time to realize the issue was strict #networking rules, to learn YAML syntax for compose files, to set up Pi-Hole and NPM with SSL, to enable DoH via #Cloudflare. That finally solved it!
Now I have my own domain names with HTTPS.
A total win-win!

#Calibre jsem přesunul do #Docker na #NAS a teď s tím bojuji ...
Když chci editovat knihu, dám v jednom panelu CTRL+C (třeba popis knihy, autora atd.) v druhém panelu kde je Calibre nefunguje CTRL+V - prostě NIC ‼️
To samé obálky, když si ji oskenuji, vyfotím, stáhnu, když dám v prohlížeči přidat obálku, jsem v souborovém systému toho Dockeru a ne na PC.
Řešil to někdo ?

Think on start up, you can have all dependencies automatically spun up for you automatically. 😍

Nach einem Update versteht sich plötzlich die neue Version von #Docker nicht mehr mit #Traefik und das Ergebnis war, dass nun kein Container mehr funktionierte. Habe nun eine einfachere Lösung und setze nun #Caddy ein. Läuft nun wieder, frage mich aber nur, warum ich vorher die kompliziertere Variante eines Reverse Proxy gewählt hatte. 🤓
