En @mikrotik van a meter #Apps, no es más que una manera de desplegar contenedores #Docker sin tener que pelearte con archivos de configuración y comandos de terminal.
Está claro que un #Router debe ser solo eso... pero esto abre posibilidades para el #selfhosting a más gente. Y aunque quizás no sea para todo, podría encajar un #PiHole o #AdGuardDNS

ugh i'd really love to have a headless #docker container or something of #macos i could quickly run/spin up to run some commands/tests against it, instead of having to open my #macbook or wtv. it's freaking annoying that #Apple loves shipping ancient #bash or #unix commands/utils that don't behave the same on #Linux.

Für meine private Homepage (mwellner.de) habe ich jetzt eine selbstgehostete Analytics-Lösung aufgesetzt. Ging mit #docker recht flott, #umami stellt da Images und eine fertige docker-compose.yml bereit. Zumindest erhalte ich jetzt nur Zugriffe von Menschen, die ganzen Bot-Zugriffe fallen weg.

So I got #pihole 5.x running on my NAS via a #Docker container managed by #Portainer CE about 4 years ago, and then never touched it again because I didn't know anything about containers.
Since then, pihole has had dozens of new releases, including a 6.x major version bump. I've also learned more about containers (mostly against my will).
Found a 5.x-to-6.x migration guide and spun up a 6.x container with new settings and my old mounts, and everything seems to be okay!
