🧵 1/ 🎉 So happy to share our latest work that I authored with my #PhD supervisor Amin Emad.
While #ChatGPT and #Claude are natural language models (#llms), computational biologists have been using protein language models (pLMs) which model protein sequences.
We discovered flaws in off-the-shelf pLMs and outline some solutions. So are pLMs worth the hype? 🤔
