Souvent comparée à l’invention de l’écriture ou de l’imprimerie, l’arrivée d’Internet a ouvert des horizons inédits de savoir, de culture et de divertissement. Mais certains spécialistes annoncent déjà la fin de son ère, menacée par la prolifération massive des contenus générés par l’intelligence artificielle. Ce slop (littéralement "bouillie") envahit aujourd’hui les plates-formes : "faux" livres vendus en masse sur Amazon, morceaux de musique automatique diffusés sur Spotify, vidéos racoleuses sur Facebook ou encore influenceurs robots promouvant des produits sur Tiktok. Comment cet espace, autrefois promesse de connaissance partagée, a-t-il pu devenir si rapidement une bulle de désinformation, de propagande et de contenus synthétiques sans intérêt ? Quel avenir reste-t-il au Web ?

In response to a summary judgement motion, a TX plaintiff’s lawyer wanted to submit a witness affidavit that compared and analyzed two exhibits. The lawyer fed the exhibits into #ChatGPT and asked it to draft the affidavit. He then gave the affidavit to the witness, who signed under penalties of perjury ... (cont.)
