To any #Transgender person here on #Mastodon / The #Fediverse who uses #Bluesky still:
If you get a chance, could you please ask @ErinInTheMorn to instead of only #Bridging her account on Bluesky using #Bridgyfed, to consider #CrossPosting to BOTH platforms instead or as well as using it?
#Trans folks here if using Bridgyfed open themselves up to Bluesky B.S. without having the luxury of using Bluesky #Blocklists.
That's the only option we have from here to follow her latest posts.
New recipes, vibrant flavors, and kitchen hacks you’ll love—follow our Bluesky feed and enhance your kitchen.

@FinchHaven I've been using the #Fediverse for 8 years, and used #Bluesky for 2.
My response was sincere and well meaning.
If that's not ok with you i respect your wanting to not address what it's like to use either platform, what life is like online for a #transgender person and admit it may be a different experience for you vs someone like me.
@Lazarou @FinchHaven @bsky.brid.gy I used #Bluesky for 2 years up until a week ago, i've used #Mastodon on and off for 8 years.
I do recall following #feeds on Bluesky where #bridged #fediverse accounts ended up being visible for certain topics.
So that means that it's possible for Bluesky to see my posts regardless of whether or not anyone understands feeds.
I'm talking technical here and concerns, not just winging it because maybe it will go fine.
@FinchHaven @bsky.brid.gy If i bridge my #Mastodon account to #Bluesky, and mention i'm #Transgender at any point here in the #Fediverse, i'm then subject to all the hate and harassment most #LGBTQ folks are avoiding on that platform by using #Blocklists.
I don't have that option from here doing so. So it's a very real concern.
@FinchHaven @bsky.brid.gy How many #transgender people do you follow on both #bluesky and #mastodon?
Do you have a #trans person in your life who shares with you what it's like to speak openly about being trans in 2025 in Trump's America?
Because we have very real concerns and are often targets for this. This is also why i left Bluesky... because i disagree with Jay Graber's flippant responses making light of harassment on her platform.
Your world and mine may differ very much.
I've seen this said about bridging posts *out* of #Bluesky via Brid.gy
I boost a lot of familiar names from my #Twitter era because they have important things to say
I have *never* *even* *once* seen *any* posts or any responses back from any #Nazis or #Transphobes or 'bigoted user base' posts of any kind from Bluesky -- at all
Zero
Zip
Nada
It would be really nice if it were possible to follow #Bluesky accounts that are bridged using @bsky.brid.gy WITHOUT having to in turn allow Bluesky including their #Nazi and #Transphobic / #Bigoted user base access to your own #Mastodon posts.
There are accounts i enjoyed there, but i'm unwilling to bridge my fediverse account, especially given there's no way to then implement Bluesky blocklists to prevent harassment.
In theory #Bridgyfed seems like a useful tool, in practice??
If you are sharing The Fediverse Quarterly posts on Bluesky, please remove them by November 13, 2025. I will not permit the newsletter to be circulated on platforms that tolerate harmful individuals.
This is not a warning but a call to action: The Fediverse Quarterly is new, and I refuse to have fascists or anyone who sexually exploits minors appearing in my feeds.
Please boost or reshare this so it reaches trending and the attention of the admins — this must stop.

Deveríamos estar todos socializando no #Mastodon, não no #Bluesky. (Lembra o que aconteceu com o #twitter, o #facebook, o #Instagram e o #Reddit?)
