> Hey all! I'm Jim, and I do system-y things at Bluesky. I'm here to give you some details about what happened on Monday of this week that caused Bluesky to go do...
Technically, #Bluesky might be worse but as a social network, it is so much better in every possible way … (2/2)
#Bluesky has hardly worked at all today. I can't remember a social media platform having such a long outage

To be clear, we are not against EuroSky, and we want to avoid protocol wars. However, we just received an email from @eurosky.social asking for a donation on the same day that their decentralized feature seems to have encountered significant issues.
How come?
By the way, what will the journalists who overwhelmingly preferred Bluesky as their main microblogging alternative write about this incident?

No, #Bluesky isn't down because it was vibecoded. But it isn't coming back up because they have a bunch of business school dipshits who don't know how to write code or do dev ops in charge of fixing it.
That's why one of their team members announced it was s DDOS then retracted it. They put some logs into a chatbot that concluded DDOS because that's most likely when someone asks about server logs and doesn't know better to tell the difference between internal and external IPs.
In other news, #Bluesky appears to be dead. Not a bad thing, actually..
Great stuff from the dev team of "I put my phone in the pool to cool it off"

#bluesky #InternalServerError is today's news!

And still going on... #Bluesky
