For all the good folks who left Mastodon because it was too whatever.

Blocked the domain bsky.brid.gy, see quoted post to see how to do it in the Mastodon web interface.

Is #Bluesky decentralized?
Simple answer: NO
Complex answer: Tons of technical jargon, and still NO
Interesting, user-level blocking of the Bluesky bridge only blocks bridging OUT to Bluesky, not bridging back in. 🤔
Since we're talking about #Bluesky and #ICE I'm reasonably sure that the Bluesky app was/is throttling external links to a website that lists ICE agents.
Look at the bottom address bar. Bsky dot app holds onto the link for about 13 seconds before it finally forwards me to the website. This is different than normal load speed.
I tried this with multiple other links published to the app and couldn't not duplicate.
Having a laugh at all the suddenly suspended accounts over at #Bluesky. All people who admitted the likelihood of it turning into a nazi bar, but choosing it anyway "for the reach". Congratulations, you spent your time helping make a new nazi bar.
soOoOOoOoooo
do i have to unfollow, one by one, everybody i follow from the hipster nazi bar, including the bridge?
Please explain why you still use the internet if you think federating with #bluesky is bad now cause #ICE joined. The web has Nazis too.
People don't seem to understand that on decentralized networks, horrible people also using it is only a problem if their shit is pushed at us. If their tagging others with abuse is tolerated. Otherwise their posts will be ignored just like most sites are. We don't demand browsers refuse to load certain sites or DNS refuse to serve them.
Hi @mmasnick
In case you haven't noticed yet:
#bluesky welcomed and verified ICE on their platform.

a hipster nazi bar is still a #nazi bar.
this is a post about #Bluesky.
