I'm somewhat inclined to disable bridging for my own account; it feels like it's providing legitimacy to BlueSky making claims about "federation" and "decentralization".
Whereas the reality is that #BlueSky is a walled garden, #ATproto has zero independent actually deployed sites, and is headed the way of it's predecessor (including political biases in post suppression).

Also many EU 🇪🇺 members are still actively using #X (many politicians are worldwide).
Surprisingly there are more listed EU 🇪🇺 politicians using #Bluesky than #Threads & #Mastodon combined! The only listed EU 🇪🇺 account on the #Fediverse is @EU_Commission, which is very surprising as Mastodon was created in #Europe (specifically #Germany 🇩🇪).

Another day, another social platform embracing the #Atmosphere (it is currently in Beta).
It is called Gander Social, & it is hosted in #Canada 🇨🇦: https://gandersocial.ca/
Unlike #WSocial, Gander Social will use the standard Atmosphere protocol, which means they will be able to easily interact with #Bluesky users. They plan on launching sometime this year.
I am curious as to why they chose Atmosphere over the #Fediverse.

I wonder... If I should bring the trusted platform module ( #TPM) parts in github.com/Lumoin/Verif... online already now. 🤔Protection from "OS compromise". Maybe write a Rust version too at that, at some point.
Naturally there is a #BlueSky connection too coming up that uses this system.
