Wow, @Anwalt_Jun hat 15 Followers 🙌 . Und womit? Mit #Recht! #PunIntended

Warum nutzt er den Account nicht häufiger?

Würde eine App helfen, die gleichzeitig #Bluesky und #Mastodon kann wie @fread oder @openvibe ?

Was braucht es, damit Anwalt Jun besser im #Fediverse posten kann?

Hi #DutGemacht-Community,
lasst uns Rechtsanwalt Chan-jo Jun ins #Fediverse einladen! Seine Posts sollten frei und offen für Presse und Jura-KollegInnen zitier- und verlinkbar sein.

Einen gebrückten #Bluesky-Account hat er bereits. @jun.de

Hat wer direkten Kontakt?

Anyone ever consider what all these brilliant minds attempting to squeeze 'decentralization' out of #Bluesky might be able to accomplish if they unleashed their talents on the #Fediverse? 🤷

And for Philip:

- In what ways can European or decentralised platforms help public institutions, particularly elected officials, leave dominant harmful networks like X without losing their reach?

I was also interested to discover @quodari. However, I have to say it didn’t convince me, mainly because I understood that it does not rely on any interoperability protocol.

The answers to my three questions were not fully complete, nor did they include concrete numbers. Still, it was useful to understand how these initiatives are evolving, and how important it is to have the resources to engage regularly in Brussels.

The organisers will publish the full video recordings soon:

Today I joined an interesting panel on Building sovereign digital public spaces, organised by @DIGITALSME .

I particularly enjoyed the presentations by @seabass.bsky.social
(EuroSky) and @philipkristians (Mastodon).

Although I am a big fan of Mastodon — and the Fediverse more broadly — I have to say that Sebastian’s presentation was especially well done. It was interesting to learn how actively he engages in Brussels to discuss EuroSky; next week, for instance, he’ll be meeting with the Green Party.

I do wish we could see more of this kind of political outreach from the Mastodon team as well, though I understand the constraints that come with being a non-profit.

The event organisers will soon publish the videos, including responses to questions from the audience.

For Sebastian:

1) Given EuroSky’s engagement with public institutions, do you see Fediverse bridges as a default feature — so that users, including elected officials, are not isolated from existing networks like Mastodon from day one?

2) How do the costs of running a new server using the Bluesky protocol compare to running servers based on ActivityPub, given that thousands of ActivityPub-compatible servers (e.g. Mastodon, Pixelfed) already exist?

Translation: adding all sorts of shit no one really wants instead of getting their act together on basics like private accounts and a fucking edit button.

It certainly isn't, we can save it by creating a open social web with atproto, the one we on right now with Bluesky/activity pub and other open decentralised protocols! #Bluesky #atproto #ATmosphere #activityhub

This article is actually about data pods. Not a #bluesky invention, glad they're advancing it. Maybe there's a better term but yes let's all have whatever data we choose on the net and used by the apps we choose, always under our control. Whatever we write or AV we create, lives in our space not theirs. They call it a PDS. But this great idea of the data blob requires standards people will disagree about and it seems to be separable from the rest of #ATproto. #solid
