So I managed to get another site in Drupal using ActivityPub. So I can search and find my user on that site now.
Just need to figure out how to get it to work with posts as well now.
But if I can do this more easily then that is a good thing.

Explaining ATProto to people used to ActivityPub is as hard as explaining ActivityPub to people coming from centralized social media because it's just as big a conceptual shift.
Twitter/Facebook/etc->AP split one center into multiple centers. App and data are still bound together.
AP->AT splits app and data. You choose your data host, and then you choose your app. Most apps will bring data hosting along and you won't have to think about it, but the option is there: the credible exit.

Sometimes people mistake my expressed frustrations about Mastodon and ActivityPub as coming from some weird novice or outsider but I'm actually a veteran of the federation wars.
My first account was 2016. You probably read stuff I wrote about it over the years. I tried the stuff that predates it.
Anyway, Google Wave beta was actually the ideal social network.

Com quais programas interagimos com a Federação Social? É o tema da #TerSoftware:🌐 Uso bastante a página da Web do próprio #SNAC, que não depende de JavaScript e ainda, obviamente, suporta todas as peculiaridades desse sistema. Uma delas é o agendamento, como desta publicação, que deixei para o primeiro minuto da terça-feira. Isso é novidade este ano, pois instalei o servidor em janeiro.
Também uso bastante o próprio #Mastodon. Às vezes, #Phanpy (outra novidade).
📵 Na tornozeleira eletrônica de bolso
, uso, majoritariamente, #Fedilab. É o único que encontro até o momento que suporta razoavelmente quase todas as funcionalidades que desejo de um cliente federativo desse tipo, sobretudo para quem tem vários perfis, em sistemas diversos. Ao contrário de outros, jamais perdeu o que estava redigindo antes de ser publicado.
No ambiente de área de trabalho, tenho usado também 📯 #Tuba, para o qual até contribuí com tradução e que teve uma versão muito primorosa recentemente lançada!💡 Algo que, para mim, faz falta em todos eles é poder ter como mesclar as linhas do tempo de todos os perfis. Fedilab é o que mais se aproxima disso, facilitando pelo menos que escolha com qual perfil quer interagir com determinada publicação.
