En tout cas, comme pour chaque paquet YunoHost sur lequel j’ai pu bosser, c’est une grande satisfaction de réussir faire en sorte que ça marche. Rapport à mon absence de formation en informatique.

Concrètement, on est plutôt sur quelque chose d’assez accessible pour les personnes administrant un serveur YunoHost sans compétences de ouf en informatique. Sauf peut-être pour une petite chose: le stockage des fichiers multimédia, qui pour le moment se fait obligatoirement sur un serveur S3 (fourni par Amazon, mais aussi des fournisseurs qui offrent des services compatibles).

Pour celles et ceux que ça intéresserait, après l’installation, il faut simplement configurer les adresses support et admin dans l’interface d’administration de l’instance Loops, et configurer la connexion à un serveur SMTP puisque les inscriptions sur les instances ouvertes au nouveaux utilisateurs nécessitent un code envoyé par courriel (ça se fait via le panneau de configuration sur l’interface d’admin de YunoHost). Et bim, ça marche.

Bon, ben voilà, Loops est installable et fonctionnel dans YunoHost. Ça reste une version beta, mais ça marche. Y compris la connexion au fediverse via ActivityPub. Genre ça y est, vous pouvez suivre un compte Loops depuis Mastodon. Yeeha.

If you ever wanted to know what the largest group of losers on the #internet is, look no further than #4chan.
A site and userbase that all pridefully stand on the soapbox that their site is the end-all-be-all in free speech and lack of #censorship.
buuuuut.
several boards have baked-in trigger words, some of them over a decade old that will ban or deny your threads or comments by defaultA group of thousands of #incels that all can't wait to tell you how much your site sucks when they're all being exploited at face-value like cattle. Add to injury, they even had an #Activitypub implementation of their own site, ran by the community, and it still crumbled into pieces.
no #VPN use or you'll be banned for trying(if their detection can tell)
you have to wait 300 seconds if the system doesn't have a cookie for you to post at thread, and 200 to post a comment, and sometimes it resets for no reason.
unless you pay hard, earned currency for it in the name of cash or #crypto
and give an #email address that likely connects to your real identity
If I ever get sick of Mastodon, Lemmy and Pixelfed, there's one thing I can do that I can't do on 4chan,
at least I can get all of my money back.
