Ich hab auf meinem Blog schon seit einiger Zeit das Activitypub-Plugin installiert. Wenn ich nun in einem Toot einen meiner Blogposts verlinke, bekomme ich nicht mehr die klassische "Link Card", sondern der Post wird wie ein zitierter Toot eingebunden.

You might have mastodon.social muted, so you will most likely miss this the update I have quoted.
But, to re-introduce the project,
#DhaagaApp is the only #fediverse app that offers 100% compatibility with every major fediverse fork out there.
I have been building it on and off for over a year at this point.
Adding #bluesky support was a huge milestone, because it was an entirely different protocol from #activitypub
If you haven't checked it out already, it is on Play Store, F-Droid and IzzyOnDroid
I am always looking for more users to help me catch missed implementations in this mega-project, so feel free to let me know if you would like to help

the unpleasantness is now at a minimum (especially if one resists the urgency to feed the trolls).
Effectively #twitter / #X is now back to functioning as a microblogging platform for many people worth following.
But if one is using X for microblogging, why not #fediverse (longer feee posts) ? When #WordPress fully integrates with #ActivityPub, one can monetize on WordPress and distribute via the Fediverse (and get the interactions in a moderated environment).

@der_raDDler @Mastodon @lagedernation @vieuxrenard @mainz_de @Philip Der zusätzliche Kanal im Fediverse kann übrigens auch die WordPress-Website sein. Dank #ActivityPub Plugin ist alles, was man auf der Website postet auch im Fediverse. Für das @bcki habe ich das so gemacht. Die Infos müssen sowieso auch auf der Website stehen. Warum sollten sie dann nicht zusätzlich auch noch in einem Social Network landen?
In Zeiten von LLMs sind Websites wieder extrem wichtig, denn aus Instagram-Posts trauen sich OpenAI & Co nicht, einfach die Infos zu klauen. Wer in ChatKIs stattfinden will, braucht eine gut gepflegte Website.
Wer Menschen ohne Instagram-Account erreichen will, braucht eine gut gepflegte Website.
Und die ist mit 3 Klicks im Fediverse und sammelt Likes.

@Sascha @AwetTesfaiesus @svenja Unserem KV werde ich die Anbindung seiner Website via #ActivityPub vorschlagen. Das ist das Mindeste, was man haben sollte und sorgt vielleicht dafür, dass wieder mehr über die Nutzung freier Kanäle nachgedacht wird.
