Acho que o impulsionamento é a maneira, sem a implementação de algoritmos complexos que preferimos evitar, de termos contato com algo que nossos contatos acham relevante publicado por outras pessoas ou que se passou na linha do tempo enquanto não estávamos olhando.
Acho muito válido até impulsionar novamente publicações próprias que ainda considere relevantes, quando tiver contato com elas posteriormente.
Por outro lado, pode ser importante termos uma opção de desabilitar a visualização de quantas curtidas e quantos impulsionamento uma publicação teve. Bem como sobre receber notificações disso. #Phanpy, por exemplo, creio que tenha ambas possibilidades. #SNAC já permite, recentemente, filtrar tipos de eventos nas notificações.

this is shaping up well enough that i think i can can Post about it now:
working on an activitypub-aware reverse proxy to handle http signatures/authorized fetch (and, in the future, caching, though that's not there yet) on your behalf. primarily intended to absorb the load of large federation bursts for the underlying software, but also frees you from having to reimplement http signature validation (and in the future, signing?) yourself
supports both rsa-sha256 and ed25519 over the cavage draft. handles multiple keys per actor. will handle blind key rotations whenever i get around to it. may add support for the the new http signature rfc if there's a Reasonable library available
i have a few more things in mind but i need to finish the basics first

I am looking to possibly start writing again. I took down my old blog (there was some weird DNS issue I didn't want to fix) and I am looking for a new place to write. Are there any good cheap/free fediverse solutions?
I'd like to avoid big corpo platforms.
A quick search turned up WriteFreely, is that any good?

I imagine a future where every actual article (and piece of audio or video) is an #ActivityPub item itself. So we wouldn't boost and reply to posts that link to this work, but boost and reply to it directly. And every news website is also a fedi server. So nobody like Facebook can get in the middle of it again. Eventually replies are redesigned to work as well as they do on Reddit.
I don't see how this could work as decentralized on #ATproto.
