I don't know enough Japanese, but it looks like not only Bluesky is in the works but also Misskey (the most popular #ActivityPub implementation in Japan, which is also compatible with Mastodon). Well, the more federated the better, I say!

Was ich ja auch spannend fände:
Wenn es möglich wäre, dass eine Fedi-Instanz als solche zu einer anderen Software wechseln könnte.
Also dass bspw. die Betreibenden einer Mastodon-Instanz entscheiden könnten:
"Wir wechseln die Instanz zu zB Sharkey, Akkoma, Friendica, Hubzilla (oder eine andere Text-Bild-basierte Fedi-Software",
und dabei nicht nur alle Konten, die auf der Instanz liegen, mit umziehen könnte, sondern auch alle Verbindungen zu Followern/Followings hält, alle Beiträge mit umzieht, alle Listen, stummgeschaltete/geblockte User, usw.
Also einen 1:1-Umzug.
(Klar, ein solcher Umzug von zB Mastodon zu Peertube wäre eher nicht sinnvoll.)
Ich kam gerade nur drauf, weil zB spezielle Sprach-Instanzen halt "nur" bei Mastodon sind, mit ihren 500-1000 Zeichen.

There was an interesting talk at #FOSDEM in th Social Web room where it was mentioned that the way the #fediverse is going, with different servers geared towards specific data, is problematic. The idea was that all the extra data/fields should be pluggable in the standard #activitypub and be available on any server without having to create new accountsand servers for any different type of data. To display that data, different frontends can then be used with the same account.
