FTC Act Section 5 requires online influencers to disclose (clearly and conspicuously) when they are paid to promote something. Failure to do so = deceptive advertising and is CLEARLY ILLEGAL.

- Polymarket was busted paying online influencers (undisclosed) $2-3K a pop to post simulated bets (1,100) on a fake website that generated ~ 140M views, with many showing big profits, when in fact, in the real world the bets would have lost $$.

> 100 million brand-related posts on Twitter across 268 brands had ~ 96% of sponsored posts were not disclosed.

- millions of posts on YouTube and Pinterest were analyzed and had disclosures only 10% and 7% of the time.

Why it matters? Gen Z (ages ~14-29) say they’re more likely to buy from a brand b/c it partners with an influencer they like. Surveys show Gen Z'ers trust an influencer endorsement of a product over an ad from the business itself

Pinterest is a social network and visual search engine. Create pin graphics to promote your products and content. Add audio to make your pin more engaging.

Create multiple pins for the same target page. Change images and texts, and place new keywords. Then, Pinterest will treat them as fresh pins, bringing more impressions.

However, Pinterest won't send traffic suddenly. You will see the magic in the long run only.

Hey Fediverse,
gibt es eigentlich eine Alternative zu Pinterest?
Irgendetwas ähnliches, wo ich für unterschiedlichste kreative Hobbys Anleitungen gebündelt finde und mich nicht auf tausend Einzelseiten registrieren muss.
Bin nämlich nur noch entnervt von dem ganzen KI gedöns und dem Tracking...
