[XY] hat sich gestern leider nicht gemeldet, aber ich habe die Zeit genutzt mit meinem Leuten zu sprechen und wir haben einen Vorschlag für das PRÜF-Netzwerk

Dass PRÜF von Anfang an auch das #Fediverse via #Mastodon "bespielt", finden wir absolut großartig. <3
Nur merken alt-eingesessene Fedizens wie wir Euren Bemühungen deutlich an, dass ihr hier noch nicht Zuhause und mit den Besonderheiten unseres föderierten Netzwerks aus autarken Instanzen wirklich vertraut seid.

und von #Peertube bis #Hubzilla quasi jede Form von #ActivityPub-sprechender Software selber betreiben, möchte ich Euch daher gerne anbieten unsere Fedi-Expertise für die Kampagne zu nutzen, und uns als Eure Botschafter*innen das Vertrauen entgegen zu bringen die Kampagne in unserem "Home-Turf" Fediverse optimal und 100%ig in Eurem Sinne zu repräsentieren. Auf unsere Kosten für die Servermiete, versteht sich.
Unter mastodon.pruef-demos.de könnten sich bspw. alle Initiativen auf einer Instanz vereinen, und dort nur geprüfte Inis zulassen.

#ActivityPub #Fediverse #Mastodon #OpenRegistrationHurts @alice made a downright AMAZING post about the perils of open registration a while ago, and I suggest you go show them some attention. But some of the discussion on that post got me thinking. The main reason people don't want manual account approval, it seems, is because of the time it takes. So, I propose a third registration mode. This would require no extra modifications to ActivityPub and perhaps one minor tweak to nodeinfo (1/?)

@saxifraga I'm interested in decentralization so part of me hopes it will mature and become a thing, but i'm just unsure of how many are using it as well as how many are actually running instances of it that are federated.
If it allows users to natively connect to both #ActivityPub and #ATProto networks without a bridge that would be interesting. Unsure how far along that is but it was something i recall them promoting as a goal somewhere when looking into it initially.

@saxifraga There are more than 20 users because my profile isn't on that list.
But the fact that 2 years in to their demo instance running you can't even load the list of users doesn't bode well for the project overall.
It seems like it could be cool but i sincerely doubt it's going to ever be something like the other projects that already use #ActivityPub we all connect with already here.

This week I added the ActiviyPub plugin to our college's WordPress blog server. It's a MultiUser server, so each group has their own independent blog hosted by the same WordPress install.
People here don't post a whole lot however the student newspaper does post their articles there weekly.
Just trying to do my part to increase the human generated content shared here in the Fediverse.
Oh, and of course the server is dual stacked and available over #ipv6

@benpate oh no, not at all.
The fediverse curated lists have a low barrier to entry. Even the intent of creating an #ActivityPub based #fediverse app is enough to get listed. The list serves the dev ecosystem first and foremost, helps make ongoing work easier to find, encourage cross-pollination.
You can see this e.g. in the delightful-fediverse-experience list table of contents with the 🌱 seeding links to ⏱️ planned entries. But also regardless of state a project is in, it is eligible.
