This is a recent one I can't stop rewatching. He mentions Yes, Dazz Band, and Dio but there are a few other surprises.
He frequently mashes Soul with Metal.
James Against the Machine - "Take the Soul Power Back"
This one combines Rage Against the Machine with James Brown. When you think about the message of their music, it makes sense and this mash-up exemplifies that.
Sometimes, he's just goofing.
Boston Carter - "Strokin' (It's More Than a Feeling)"
Rick James Dio - "Holy Mary Jane"
But even those are still so well done.
Others combine into something almost transcendent in its absurdity because it still works, the narrative makes perfect sense.
