Hey there, since I've seen other people do it, I thought I might as well do an #introduction for if you actually care, please enjoy :3
You can skip parts you're not interested about of course, as this is a novel.
I'm Lucy, online known as Surillya (or Suri for short), a girl in her teens (but over 18). I'm a web- and game-developer (I created Android apps as a child as well, but I don't do that anymore), as well as an aspiring music artist, in tons of different genres.
Currently, I live in the small country of Europe, in one of the small cities somewhere in the mid-west or something. I'm american/european with some japanese heritage, but that's not that prominent.
I don't usually use social media platforms, other than YouTube (I'm creating a few videos here and there, and stream mostly sundays at noon (central time)), but maybe Mastodon will change that.
Music plays a big part in my life, with me playing piano, creating certain compositions and enjoying music in all different genres, ranging from classic and jazz over to EDM and pop music.
For the games I create, I am very lazy admittedly, and often never finish projects, or it's like that Minecraft phase, where I'm working on a project, 2 weeks straight, 18 hours a day, just to then stop for the next 6 months, after which I *may* continue, if I don't completely abandon the project.
Although, I really like to work on my games, I have big dreams, that may hopefully come true eventually, even though I understand that I'm not working really hard towards that. My passion is to make my games mean something, make them have the player feeling strongly, and maybe in the future giving a sense of nostalgia. The stories for my games are most of the time brainstormed by me and my friend, Ersalus (love ya).
I work on website projects, having created a lot of smaller projects, like a torrenting service (taken down now for DMCA reasons), an online clipboard, the MPL (Mushville phone line) and a centralized log-in system for most of them, called SurillyaID.
One of my oldest and still persistent projects has got to be a small project, THOS. THOS is an "operating system" created by me, with like 5 iterations by now, always something different. It's arguably not much of an operating system, starting as an android app in version one, to being a web-server desktop-environment-kinda-thing in it's current form of version 5.
I have no idea what else to talk about, but I will edit this post when I can think of stuff.
