When I started working in #infosec, I used to think that APTs using compromised #wordpress / #joomla / whatever as C2s were super proficient.
Now i'm just surprised we don't see random blogs and cooking websites as C2 for every single threat actor...

So schwer ist es doch gar nicht: Haltet eure Software aktuell. Ja, auch WordPress und installierte Plugins.
Gerade, so bereichtet Wordfence, liefe eine Angriffswelle gegen bereits im Oktober bzw. Dezember 2024 gepatchte Plugins: GutenKit 2.1.0 oder früher und Hunk Companion 1.8.5 oder früher.
