Enterprise WordPress Plugins vs. Community Solutions: Why the Source Matters https://webdevstudios.com/2026/01/20/enterprise-wordpress-plugins-vs-community-solutions-why-the-source-matters/ #WordPress #wpdev
add_filter( 'activitypub_the_content', function( $content ) {
return $content . ' #WordPress';
}, 10 );
Ist dieses PHP okay? Sinnvoll? Gefährlich?
Yesterday I watched a WordPress plugin bounce between creators like it was competing in some kind of WordPress relay race. Idea, prototype, remix, accessibility audit, polished final version.

Refreshed Cycling Website
The Anerley Bicycle Club is on of Britain’s oldest cycling clubs having been founded in 1881. It also has one of the oldest websites dating back to 2005.
The website was unsurprisingly showing signs of age having been twice refreshed in 2011 and 2015. Covid changed the way the club operated from a fixed register of large rides to more smaller rides organised a few days ahead. Hence the website was no longer fit for purpose. As a WordPress site the major tasks were:
All done in under a month including the setting up of staging sites so members could follow and contribute to development. The object is they should be able to manage their website with minimal support.
Launch date was January 9th 2026. Bang on schedule. See here: https://anerleybc.org

Self-hosted #WordPress help needed. Boosts appreciated.
I host three WordPress sites at Hostinger, which I chose because it's cheap and it meets my needs. I have the lowest level plan that gives me unlimited email addresses. My sites are currently averaging a total of fewer than 500 hits per day. I don't host much in the way of media; I downsize all my images before I upload them and don't host Audio or video. (1/4)
I've been working on using the DataViews package for #OmniForm. Here's a sneak peak at the dashboard (in-progress) in #WordPress.

If you are a picu Pro user, did you find some time to try out our new "Volume Pricing"?
We'd love to hear what you think!
