TechCrunch: WordPress debuts a private workspace that runs in your browser via a new service, my.WordPress.net. “The sites created through this service are bound to your web browser, with their data saved in the browser’s storage. That means you can’t access the site from another device. But you can move your site to a dedicated WordPress host if you ever want to make it public.”

Das #ActivityPub Plugin für #Wordpress von @pfefferle wurde übrigens in Version 8 stark verbessert.
Unter @eigenraum_folgen_feed könnt ihr ja dem Server direkt folgen. Ich muss mal meine Einstellungen noch etwas tunen, aber wenn euer Fediverse-Anguck-Client das unterstützt, könnt ihr in dem Post da unten einfach auf Play drücken und die Folge hören. Wow.
Der empfohlen Weg den Podcast zu konsumieren bleibt aber weiterhin eine Podcast-App via RSS 😁

Das ist ein RSS Reader, bei dem man nicht auf irgendeinen anderen Dienst angewiesen ist. Wenn alle diese Dienste anfangen durchzudrehen oder vielleicht abgeschaltet, verkauft oder sonstwie verschlimmbessert werden, kann man sich nicht mehr auf sie verlassen. J'ai repéré #WPCafe [1] qui semble être Libre, y compris dans sa version payante (je vais demander confirmation) et permet de gérer les réservations avec plan de tables, la vente en ligne et pas mal de choses (elle n'a pas besoin de tout, par exemple pas de livraisons gérées par le restaurant lui-même, pas de sites multiples…).
L'avantage est que ça se greffe sur #WooCommerce, lui même basé sur #WordPress, qui sont tous les deux suffisamment répandus pour avoir des gens déjà compétents sur 90% du système à mettre en place, et que WordPress a déjà les outils pour le référencement, notamment.
