Maailmanpuu-podcastissa siteerattiin taannoin sanontaa uskonnoista ja kulteista: Asiallista esoteerista menoa on silloin, kun sisään pääseminen on todella vaikeaa, mutta pois pääseminen on helppoa. Epäilyttävää kulttimenoa on, kun sisään pääsee helposti, mutta ulos ei sitten millään.
Minulta kyseltiin tässä kiinnostusta työskennellä yhden WordPressillä tehdyn sivuston parissa. Sivusto on tehty Divillä, ja täytyypä kyllä sanoa, että sama sanonta pätee täälläkin. Asiallisesti tehty WordPress-sivusto on vähän esoteerinen, eli alussa on nähty teknistä vaivaa ja ylitetty kynnyksiä. Lopputuloksena on kuitenkin joustava sivusto, joka ei sido tiettyyn malliin.
Divi- ja Elementor-maailma on sitten se kultti, johon luiskahtaa helposti sisään aika olemattomalla teknisellä osaamisella, mutta niissä on sellainen vendor lock, että pois pääseminen onkin sitten hirveän työn takana.
