Meta has started rolling out a new WhatsApp lockdown-style security feature designed to protect journalists, public figures and other high-risk individuals from sophisticated threats, including spyware attacks.
⁉️Known as "Strict Account Settings," this new feature builds on already existing end-to-end encryption by adding extreme safeguards for users who require heightened protection beyond standard security measures.⁉️
⚠️Users can enable these new extreme privacy and security controls only from their primary device by toggling on the "Strict account settings" option under Settings > Privacy > Advanced.⚠️

Man sollte den Vergleich mit was anderem setzen und die Freund und Kollegen fragen: Wenn man dem sein Portemonnaie anvertraut, ob Sie den denn Inhalt jeder x-beliebigen Personen zeigen die rein schauen möchten.

In India, the new 6-hour auto-logout rule for WhatsApp Web might start disrupting workflows soon.
I built this over the weekend for personal use. Pouring a lot of time to make the notifications fire before any disruptions occur so I don't lose unsaved chats.

Ich nutze aktuell 2 #Messenger. #WhatsApp und #Threema. WhatsApp, weil ich es einfach nicht schaffe die Familie davon weg zu bekommen. Zwei haben mal Threema getestet und hatten jeweils 2 Kontakte. Einer davon war ich.
Ich selber habe viele Kontakte auf Threema. Mit denen, die beide Messenger haben, kommuniziere ich nur auf Threema.
Jetzt bekam ich wieder zwei Einladungen von Freunden geschickt #Signal zu nutzen. Denn dagegen wehre ich mich immernoch.
Warum?
1. Wieviele Messenger denn noch.
2. Ein weiteres US Produkt, welches dann auch Daten an die US Regierung übermitteln wird.
3. Signal setzt #AWS von #Amazon ein, spült also direkt Geld in die Kassen der Oligarchen
Für Datenschutz ist Signal fast gut. Für Unabhängigkeit meiner Meinung nach eine ähnliche Katastrophe wie WhatsApp.

I am expecting my new UK passport (which I didn't to renew, so fuck you very much Kier Starmer) and they have sent it by DHL, who, like you'd expect, showed up two hours after the end of the two hour window they gave us, and blamed us for not being there.
But wait! There is a WhatsApp bot that lets you reschedule your delivery. So I asked for it today. They're not here yet, of course, but the *fun* part of this is that UK Passport office have sent me *another* package, to arrive next week, and to use the bot you need to tell it which ten digit number you're asking about, and the Android WhatsApp client doesn't let you select numbers in messages.
