The “firehose of falsehood” is a propaganda strategy defined by massive quantities of messages, pushed rapidly, across many channels, with no regard for truth or consistency. This disorients the public:
Information overload, people are flooded with so many claims that they cannot process or verify them. This creates confusion and mental fatigue. Because the trump lies are blatantly false people feel that nothing can be trusted. Research shows that citizens exposed to this tactic often conclude that truth is unknowable, which destroys the foundation for rational debate.
This leads to disengagement from news, politics and fact‑checking. Lies become familiar through repetition. This is a well‑documented psychological effect.

Bizarre that Trump:
1. Might use the Defense Production Act to save a discount domestic airline
2. Might seek 90% ownership stake in Spirit in exchange for $500 million in US taxpayer financing
3. Might sell the airline to for profit after "the price of oil goes down"
Super crazy if he calls himself a free-market capitalist since he doesn't act like one. He is an opportunist and some sort of wacky new 21st-century American mercantilist.
