In 2018, Federal Pipelines Director Elliot called the Mackinac Straits the worst location in the US for an oil pipeline. Line 5 has leaked 33 times crossing Michigan, but in 2018, Gov. Snyder agreed that Line 5 could keep operating until the tunnel was completed. As a result, Enbridge earns over $6 billion by operating Line 5 until it’s almost 80 — even while the tunnel is drilled directly below it

Thing I'm afraid of:
The MAGA people voted for #Trump because he promised them something. They're upset because he didn't deliver.
There is a chance that some #MAGA people will think about everything that happened and decide that Trump's promises were lies all the time.
But most likely, they will fall for the next guy who declares that Trump failed because he was not ruthless enough.
That next guy won't deny that he's a fascist, but he'll say that #fascism is what's needed now.

1) It’s interesting that #trump is treating the #USA like an emerging market. I discussed this with a friend of mine the other day. It’s just a matter of time before the US gets treated back as such.
2) Super high, blanket #tariffs are unsustainable and the “shakedown” tactics will eventually fail and might even backfire.
3) Trump’s demanding investment proves that his actions are about power, not balancing trade.
