According to the NYT article, "The F.B.I. believed the child was kidnapped by a transgender parent to potentially undergo gender transition surgery," so the DOJ sent one of its jets on a direct course from Virginia to Cuba to retrieve the child as part of "Project Safe Childhood," per the DOJ's website.

Still about 1/3 of voters support what Trump is doing both domestically and in Iran.
People in the US appear to be more concerned about the cost of domestic fuel than what the US or their partner are doing to other countries as there appears to be almost no discussion of these topics over there.
There is no possibility of trust when the country tears up agreements on a whim.
Time for the rest of the world to turn their backs on this country and walk away.
