Oh, and here's one thing that's interesting about the Unity security problem: Microsoft published a list of vulnerable games, which tells us which Microsoft-published games were made with Unity. I did not expect Doom (2019) there. There's also a Halo and a Fallout game on the list that I've never heard of: Halo Recruit, a VR game, and Fallout Shelter, a mobile game, both domains in which Unity excels.

As weird as Unity's e-mail regarding the security issues was, at least it is very clear in the Unity Hub which versions are affected and which not. So I can just check out my projects from git, open them, then Unity Hub will complain anyway that the Unity Editor version that project was built with is missing from my PC and I can immediately chose to load the project with a newer version that also has the security fix, which will then be installed.

Die Liste erscheint mir, auch mit der Einschränkung "in Unity Gaming Engine Editor Version 2017.1 oder neuer" erstellt etwas kurz, wenn man bedenkt wie krass verbreitet Unity doch ist. Und ob da noch alles gepatcht wird, darf bezweifelt werden - da sind ja so seinige Legacy-Titel bei.
