Since TYPO3 10.0 it is possible, actually necessary, to use FQCN (=Fully Qualified Class Names) for controllers when configuring plugins and modules. This provides a new benefit in terms of reusing and sharing code between different extensions.
This blog post will explain the benefit and provide an outlook in a possible future of TYPO3 Extbase extensions.

Something I've been thinking about a lot lately: #Germany's #open-source maintainers do volunteer work that keeps our digital infrastructure running. But legally, it doesn't count the way volunteering at a local club does.
There's a petition to change that, started by the #TYPO3 Association. It would formally recognize code, docs, and security work as civic engagement.
