currently dealing with a #TYPO3 project with lots of files in a local file storage.
some customer noticed that renaming top-level directories takes a huge amount of time.
as the path is stored as part of the identifier field in sys_file table, every file and directory containing the path in the identifier field needs to be updated - but what if there are hundreds or thousands of files in the storage?
has anyone experienced similar issues and can confirm on this one?
