Whoo, almost missed today's VOD post! Haven't missed one since we started and I don't intend to now!
One thing I never intended on even attempting this season was actually building some of the higher tier mob farms, such as the raid farms and golem farms (since handling them went so well last season) especially since we never really needed them? Honestly though once we figured out how to get them set up safely it was just a matter of having someone tasked with doing them, then we were set getting through the early game. It turned our original loop of finding a skeleton spawner and building a farm out of it to slowly grind for exp to grind enchantments into just trading for our gear, food, everything.
Hopefully with the villager trade balancing that has happened in versions since, getting set up will require a few outposts or much more organized planning next time around...

We are officially starting a brand new map in Arma 3 tonight, which means new terrain, new tactics, and a lot of "where are we?" moments.
On top of the live ops, I’m also working on my very first custom mission map on the side. I’ll be sharing some of the progress and the "behind the scenes" logic of how I'm setting it up.

Been a while since our last stream. The stream PC was one LTS OS version behind and ancient OBS. With the relatively complex setup of various camera inputs, OBS updates almost never end up as I'd hope, like it was today.
I've used the VLC video input for RTSP feeds from various IP cameras we have. Couple of years back VLC started to require self compiled libraries to work with RTSP, now the support is dead in the water. The standard ffmpeg based input has never worked right.
After banging my head against the wall long enough, the wall gave out and I got the RTSP feeds working with Gstreamer, which is not that much of fun to work with.
Next up, OBS-NDi had apparently been renamed as Distro-AV. I was a bit vary of it, but I was surprised to get a full camera stand with its 3 NDI feeds to work with very little tweaking. Usually it's the NDI that breaks in the weirdest of ways.
I need to clean up the thing after the upgrade and test Twitch notification integrations and such, but I hope we get to do a short test stream soon-ish, with the Mars Trek still in the workspace. Oh and the Elgato worry-box needs to be tested too before the real thing.
