Just learned that #Twitch sometimes sends you marketing emails that basically claim that you were pinged in some streamer's chat, complete with a fake chat snippet.

They even include custom emojis that occur in the chats of streamers you follow. See screenshot; in this example, the viper head emoji is from the AoE2 streamer TheViper who I "follow" although I barely ever use Twitch and just watch him on YouTube instead.

This is genuinely so awful. I actually thought it was real. I've mentioned this in some AoE2 related Discord, saying that I seem to have been pinged on Twitch and can't find out where and when, and that it must have been someone confusing me for another person because I'm not active in any Twitch chats. Then a kind person explained to me that it's fake. Made me feel like a boomer.

2/2 Die sind der Grund für die Frage. Vor zwei Tagen waren sie auf meinem 2. Kanal an, nun sind sie aus. Ich habe sie nicht deaktiviert aber die VoD von heute wurde somit nicht gespeichert und das nervt mich tierisch. Ist übrigens egal ob das was kosten würde. Frage an die Twitch Schwarmintelligenz. Gibt es eine Seite mit der meinen Stream so aufnehmen kann, als würde ich dies vom PC aus machen? Also auch das ich direkt die Aufnahme pausieren und wieder starten kann? Gerade wenn ich irgendwas mit den Browsers mache führt das local recording zu Problemen, also brauche ich eine Online Lösung. Ich meine damit übrigens nicht die Twitch eigenen VoDs. 1/x #TwitchVoD #twitch
