Looksmaxxing: misogynistic incel ideology going mainstream
Antisocial AI smartphone apps used as gateway to toxic manosphere:
(1) Quantification
Incels believe everybody has a “sexual market value” & these apps assign numerical scores based on obscure AI calculations.
(2) Gamification
Users scores are tied to specific ranks users are promised the ability to “ascend” to a higher rank.
(3) Reframing
These apps target young men struggling with self-confidence, making false promises of a "recipe for ascension".
