正經玩 Fediverse 已經一週，我自己控制的資訊來源總數不多，鑒於中文社群品質相當高（雖然有人會覺得太 Purist，終歸是好過任何一個主流社媒），每天忍不住想去刷，找回了十幾年前玩推的快感。一週以來可謂驚喜連連，莫名刷到都不知道她在上面的群友，其實圈子也滿小。
因為本實例很新，不得不四處去「握手」開荒資訊的荒原，發文當下已經 knows of 607 other instances，幾乎就是像區塊鏈節點逐一確認的過程，不愧也是去中心化精神的產物。由於這是 ActivityPub 的實例，我還去橋接 AT Protocol 上我自己的藍天，突然發現自己走得太偏。
但它本質始終只是一個社媒，又想到我已贅述多次的 less information flag，而現在竟然聊的是「開荒資訊」，不知道算不算破戒。看著自己又開始折騰各種橋接，説不定最終又搞成真正想看的東西接回 TG，無它，唯方便耳……如果僅僅是為了逃離算法、掌控來源，我並不需要 Fediverse，這一直都是我在 TG 上的實踐。關於 Fediverse 的可能性與我的邊界，還待繼續摸索。

From tomorrow (March 1), India is enforcing continuous "SIM binding" for apps like WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal.
The government's stated excuse is "cybersecurity."
In 2024, Indian citizens lost a staggering ₹22,845 Crore to cyber fraud. In response, authorities have already blacklisted over 4 million fraudulent SIM cards and flagged 2.4 million mule accounts.
Their existing telecom screening tools are clearly active. So why use this as an excuse to mandate a permanent, device-level surveillance leash on the communication of every ordinary citizen?
As any professional will point out, this directive completely misunderstands the threat model.
For one, it is not very effective. Indian banking apps already use SMS-based SIM binding. Has it stopped financial fraud? No. Professional scammers just use dedicated burner phones. They will continue to do so.
Two, it is technically regressive as most modern OS architectures (like Apple's iOS) actively restrict third-party apps from reading hardware SIM identifiers specifically to protect user privacy. Tech platforms will now have to engineer intrusive workarounds just to appease a government mandate.
And most importantly, it punishes normal users who rely on WhatsApp Web or a desktop client for work. Under the new rules, you will be forcefully logged out every 6 hours and forced to physically re-authenticate with your primary phone.
There was no public consultation. No parliamentary debate. No judicial oversight for disconnecting your access. Tech industry bodies have formally challenged the directive, arguing it illegally oversteps the government's jurisdiction under the Telecommunications Act. The government's official response was to offer no extensions.
In a country where Aadhaar data leaks are a running joke, the promise of secure state oversight is insulting.
This mandate won't protect the vulnerable from scams and it certainly won't protect journalists or whistleblowers exposing corruption. It just ensures the state can trace every encrypted message back to a government-verified ID.
