Does anyone have any experience with sharing core data items with other iCloud users or SWCollaboration? I have questions… the docs aren’t great. #iosdev #swiftui #cloudkit

Wanted to write some tests to get the routes going without coding blind, only to realize my tests… haven't been compiling for some time 🙈 Tomorrow let's continue refactoring them so that they do. See you then!

I'm making a seasonal anime guide app, in the open for all to experience and learn from.

Delayed due to needing to restart and install updates, but let's continue improving the definition for List Entries!

Xcode when I try to print the current view controller of a SwiftUI view.

In UIKit this tells you the exact class of the view controller currently on screen. In SwiftUI this prints nonsense.

Why have all decent developers been out of office when Apple decided to push SwiftUI onto everyone?

Any gurus know what triggers SwiftUI to add glass effects to a navigation bar?

I've got a switchable view thing (like a tab view) that I accomplish with a Zstack and setting the inactive views to opacity 0. It seems that this causes SwiftUI to give me non-liquid-glass navbars on all views except one.

Is there a way to force it to glassify a navbar? `sharedBackgroundVisibility()` does not do it.

Figuring out what useful info I could add to the tabViewBottomAccessory view now that it’s stuck on the screen. Thanks 26.1! 🫤(have actually got some good ideas)

Is there an easy way to fix this: A LazyHStack where all items take on the height of the tallest item?

Finally in a good place for list cursors, after a lot of deliberation haha. Tomorrow, let's fix up how entries are indexed, and start fleshing out routes. See you at midnight!

Educators & Students - Apple's first announcement on the 2026 #Swift Student Challenge went out today. Would love to see folks associated with my #SwiftUI course apply (and encourage their students to do the same). The awards are numerous & generous for high-quality work. And there are some wonderful blog posts / videos online from past challenge winners that can provide additional advice. Hack on! developer.apple.com/swift-stud

Long stream today, so let's rethink how cursor-based indexes will work for lists!
