Das von der Regierung vorgeschlagene "EUDI-Wallet" der EU ist derzeit nämlich nicht für Minderjährige konzipiert, zudem wird das Alter dort noch nicht angezeigt. Es könnte also noch einige Zeit dauern, bis das Verfahren technisch umsetzbar ist.
Bis dahin werde ich Eltern und Fachkräften weiterhin raten, aktive #Medienerziehung zu betreiben, anstatt auf die Umsetzung eines #SocialMedia-Verbots zu warten...

Zudem finde ich es bemerkenswert, dass es nun als große Reform verkauft wird, wenn #SocialMedia-Dienste ab 14 statt (wie bislang) ab 13 Jahren erlaubt sind. Viel wichtiger scheint es mir, dass die Altersgrenze endlich konsequent überprüft wird - dieser Aspekt wird technisch & datenschutzrechtlich die große Herausforderung sein:

Laut dem BR-Beitrag wird von Ilse Aigner "bezweifelt, dass #Medienkompetenz allein ausreicht". Ich frage mich nach wie vor, wo die Medienkompetenz nun eigentlich vermittelt wird, aber auf diese Antwort müssen wir wohl noch warten.

Is ATProto finally decentralised now?
I signed up for eurosky.social as my PDS server and defined a domain as my handle. It was way easier and smoother than any decentralisation attempt in the Fediverse. I could easily decide to move to a self-hosted PDS without fear of losing my connections or other transition debt.
Bluesky's quasi-centralisation stays problematic. But we also have a large elephant in the room over here.
