Austria to ban social media for children under 14.
Austria announced it will soon ban social media for children up to the age of 14, saying it spawned addiction, glorified violence, spread misinformation and set unrealistic beauty standards.
It hopes to be able to present the new law “as early as this summer” so it can enter into force “as quickly as possible”, Vice-Chancellor Andreas Babler told a press conference.
