At least 70 people were killed overnight from April 1 to April 2 in the village of Bafwakoa, located along National Road 4 about 148 km from Mambasa toward Kisangani, in an attack by ADF militants. More than half of the village was set on fire. Entire families were killed, with reports and photos of beheaded bodies, and many victims were found still lying where they fell.
