TikTok seems to be ridding itself of human moderators in the UK (an ongoing cost, of course) & replacing them with an expansion of AI-driven moderation; now many might argue that moderation is unpleasant work & automation is welcome.
But, given the (shall we say) patchy record of moderation in the first place linked to the (shall we say) patchy record of AI in cases requiring nuanced judgment(s), I think we can safely say that an improvement in moderation is unlikely!

X’s declining Android app installs are hurting subscription revenue
X is struggling on Android devices in terms of new installs, even while App Store downloads grow.
In July, X earned $16.9 million in net revenue, down from the $18.8 million it earned in March 2025.

I've been thinking about someone I loved once for the past few days.
I called her Moon Girl, and when I knew her she struggled greatly with her #health and by the end she was basically dead. She went to stay with someone across the country to try to heal after something drastic hospitalized her.
One day she disappeared.
I never heard from her again. She was very private and off of all #socialmedia and I knew none of her family.
Never getting closure is hard.
