🇪🇺 Telegram envió este mensaje a todos sus usuarios en Francia respecto al Control de Chats. La gente debe conocer los nombres de quienes intentan robar sus libertades:
Hoy, la Unión Europea casi prohíbe tu derecho a la privacidad. Se iba a votar una ley que obligaría a las aplicaciones a escanear cada mensaje privado, convirtiendo el teléfono de todos en una herramienta de espionaje.
Francia lideró el impulso para esta ley autoritaria. Tanto el exministro como el actual ministro del Interior, Bruno Retailleau y Laurent Nuñez, la apoyaron. En marzo pasado, declararon que la policía debería ver los mensajes privados de los ciudadanos franceses (más información aquí). Los Republicanos y el grupo Renacimiento de Macron votaron a favor.
Tales medidas supuestamente buscan “combatir el crimen”, pero su verdadero objetivo son las personas comunes. No detendrían a los criminales — ellos podrían usar VPNs o sitios web especiales para ocultarse. Tampoco se escanearían los mensajes de funcionarios y policías, ya que la ley los exime convenientemente de la vigilancia. Solo TÚ — ciudadanos ordinarios — enfrentarías el peligro de que tus mensajes y fotos privadas sean comprometidos.
Hoy defendimos la privacidad: la postura repentina de Alemania salvó nuestros derechos. Pero las libertades siguen amenazadas. Mientras los líderes franceses presionan por acceso total a los mensajes privados, los derechos básicos de los franceses — y de todos los europeos — siguen en peligro. #socialmedia
