New study finds that a 1-week social media detox significantly reduced symptoms of anxiety by 16.1%, depression by 24.8%, and insomnia by 14.5% among young adults.
These results dwarfed what can typically be accomplished through months of traditional talk therapy. And they didn't even have to reduce overall screen time to get these results, indicating that it's social media, specifically, that is causing, or exacerbating, these mental health symptoms.
