People be like: "I can't believe that I went to read posts on a troll platform and read a lot of troll posts there! I have to share my indignation, so that we can all be upset about the trollishness of troll posts!"
It seems that most people's brains and education aren't really made for the online era. We probably shouldn't discuss banning social media for minors, but rather how we can enable a majority of people to use these tools without making themselves and others miserable.

Instagram ha lanzado una de las funciones más esperadas por sus usuarios: la capacidad de editar comentarios ya publicados para corregir errores ortográficos o cambiar el tono, aunque bajo un estricto límite de tiempo.
La red social de Meta, Instagram, ha actualizado su plataforma para permitir a los usuarios modificar sus comentarios sin tener que eliminarlos y volverlos a publicar. Esta nueva herramienta, disponible a partir de la versión 424.1 de la app, introduce un botón de «Editar» junto a las opciones habituales de responder y compartir. Sin embargo, la función viene con una restricción clave: los usuarios solo disponen de una ventana de 15 minutos desde el momento de la publicación original para realizar cualquier cambio. Una vez transcurrido este tiempo, el comentario queda «congelado» y el botón de edición desaparece.
Para mantener la transparencia dentro de las conversaciones, Instagram añadirá una etiqueta gris de «Editado» en los comentarios modificados. A diferencia de otras plataformas como iMessage o Facebook, Instagram no permitirá a otros usuarios ver el historial de ediciones; es decir, la versión original quedará oculta para el público, a menos que alguien haya tomado una captura de pantalla antes del cambio. Además, la función está limitada exclusivamente a comentarios de texto. Si un comentario incluye una imagen o un elemento multimedia, el usuario solo podrá editar la parte escrita, o bien deberá borrarlo por completo si desea cambiar el contenido visual.
Esta actualización forma parte de un paquete de mejoras de usabilidad que incluye una interfaz más fluida para las descripciones de los posts y nuevas herramientas para creadores, como la programación de «Trial Reels». Con la implementación de este límite de 15 minutos, Meta busca equilibrar la flexibilidad para corregir errores comunes (como los typos) con la responsabilidad, evitando que se alteren drásticamente mensajes que ya han generado una cadena de respuestas o controversia. La función se está desplegando de forma global y promete reducir significativamente la frustración de quienes, por un pequeño error, debían sacrificar la posición y los «likes» de sus comentarios.
