People need to understand that Big Tech sees mandated age checks on social media use as removing from them even more responsibility for the content provided to them free of charge that they publish, sequence, and filter algorithmically to optimize revenue.
When mandated age checks do not work, Big Tech will argue their implementations follow legislated guidelines and that change must come from politicians.
