Parasocial is what happens when platforms engineer a one-sided connection to feel mutual. The streamer greets you because your name surfaced. They thank you because that's the transactional norm. After a year, you feel like you know them. They likely don't remember you between streams. That asymmetry is the product, not a bug.

Sources told Reuters that #Meta, the parent company of #Facebook, #Instagram and #WhatsApp, will lay off nearly 8,000 employees in May, with more layoffs planned later in the year.

Mal sehen. Die „sozialen“ Medien gehen mir im Moment ziemlich auf den Senkel.
Inzwischen ziehe ich auch das Prinzip in Zweifel: Warum sollte ich mit wildfremden Leuten (ergebnislos) diskutieren und / oder ihnen von meinem Tag berichten? Das analoge Leben ist viel wichtiger und wertvoller. Warum über Fremde ärgern und Zeit für zum Beispiel gute Bücher verschwenden?
Im Augenblick brauche ich mal Abstand.
